Our partner workshop network in Yunhe - how classroom orders are allocated
We work with a network of partner workshops in the Yunhe wooden toy cluster in Zhejiang, China, and match each classroom category to the workshop that builds it best. We do not present ourselves as a single-workshop supplier: we verify capacity, materials and documentation, then allocate the order and stay accountable for it.
Why a network
Yunhe is one of the largest wooden toy production clusters in China, and the workshops specialise: one is strong on blocks, another on role-play furniture, another on trays and small parts. A network lets a classroom order cover eight categories without forcing one workshop outside its strength.
It also means the buyer needs one accountable partner. We hold the model list, the sample, the report plan and the inspection, and the workshops build to that brief.
How we select a workshop
| Criterion | What we check | What we can share |
|---|---|---|
| Category capability | Samples and previous builds in the category | Sample and photos |
| Wood sourcing | Species, moisture content, board quality | Material declaration |
| Finish | Water-based finish process and drying | Finish type per model |
| Hardware | Screws, dowels, hinges and inserts | Construction notes |
| Capacity | Run size and delivery window | Lead time for the order |
| Quality process | In-process checks and final inspection | Inspection report |
| Documentation | Model-to-report mapping and label data | Report status list |
How an order is allocated
- The model list is split by category and matched to workshop capability.
- A sample is built to the brief before the run is allocated.
- The report plan is confirmed per model, per market.
- Production is scheduled against the delivery date and the container cut-off.
- Pre-shipment inspection happens before cartons are sealed.
What we do not publish
- We do not publish workshop names, sizes or commercial terms.
- We do not claim a single owned production line.
- We do not promise capacity beyond the confirmed lead time.
- We do not present a workshop sample as a production guarantee - the inspection is the check.
Questions buyers ask
- Are you a factory?
- We are a supply line working with partner workshops in the Yunhe cluster. We say so because it changes what we can document and how orders are allocated.
- Can we visit the workshop?
- Workshop visits can be arranged for larger programs by prior agreement. For most buyers, a sample, an inspection report and a video walk-through cover the same ground.
- What if a workshop fails an inspection?
- The shipment is held, the defect is corrected or the model is reallocated, and the inspection is repeated before shipment.
