Classroom wooden toys, specified for group use - factory-direct

Classroom wooden toys are bought for group use, not for a shelf: higher piece counts, harder wear, and a documented age grade. We supply the 3-12 range direct from partner workshops in Yunhe - eight classroom categories, MOQ from 20 pcs, and a report status stated before you see a price.

A classroom order is a specification, not a shopping cart. A room for 16-20 children needs 100-200 unit blocks, a dramatic play corner that survives daily role-play, tabletop games with pieces big enough to find again, and storage that a four-year-old can use without help. Each of those has its own size system, piece count and wear pattern.

This pillar page is the map. It explains the eight classroom categories, the quantity logic behind a per-room order, what durability means in practice, and which documents a 3+ order can carry. The category pages go deeper; the guides carry the tables you can forward to a purchasing committee.

Why classrooms buy wooden toys

Wood survives the two things that kill plastic classroom toys: repeated drops and repeated cleaning. A solid wood unit block that is dropped a dozen times a day loses a corner, not its function; a hollow plastic block starts to split at the seam.

Wood also gives a classroom a fixed size system. Unit blocks are modular, so 100 blocks build a stable wall and the same 100 blocks rebuild as a ramp, a bridge or a town. That is why block play appears in early-years learning standards across the US, UK and EU.

The trade-off is honesty about maintenance. Wood needs the right cleaning method, a dry room and a spare-parts route for knobs, wheels and pins. Every category page states what wears out and what we can replace.

The eight classroom categories

Each category is a page with its own size table, quantity logic and purchase notes.

  • All classroom wooden toys - this page, the 3-12 range in one line.
  • Preschool wooden toys - room lists for 3-5 year olds and class-size packs.
  • Daycare wooden toys - mixed-age, cleaning-first packs and replacement parts.
  • Classroom sets - 12 / 24 / 48-piece packs sized by class, not by SKU.
  • Unit blocks - the standard size system, piece mix and class quantities.
  • Dramatic play - kitchens, shops and home corners built for daily use.
  • Montessori materials - the five areas, one tray per activity, wholesale.
  • Classroom storage - shelving, carts and dividers sized to the room.

Durability, cleaning and replacement parts

  • Buy for the joint, not the finish: dowel-and-glue construction with countersunk hardware lasts longer than pins and staples.
  • Ask for the drop and pull test scope on the sampled model; the report should name the model, not just the family.
  • Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then dry immediately. No soaking, no dishwasher, no steam.
  • Order a parts kit with each room: screws, dowels, wheels, knobs and a few spare blocks cover most repairs.
  • Keep the model number on the storage unit label so a reorder six months later matches the original.

Documents and age grading (3+)

  • Every model carries a 3+ grade or higher; small parts are labelled, not hidden.
  • US: test reports to ASTM F963-23 from a CPSC-accepted third-party laboratory where available; the CPC is issued by the importer.
  • EU: EN71-1 / -2 / -3 report status per model; the importer or authorised representative keeps the technical file.
  • We supply the manufacturing data, label artwork and report references; we do not issue the CPC or the EU declaration.

How to start a classroom order

  • Send the room type, age band, number of rooms and destination market.
  • We return a room list with models, piece counts, MOQ, indicative FOB and lead time.
  • Approve samples and the label set, then confirm the report plan per model.
  • Production, pre-shipment inspection, documents, then shipment - one point of contact.

Where it goes in the room

  • Block corner: unit blocks in the standard size system, plus storage carts that keep the set sorted.
  • Dramatic play zone: a kitchen, shop or home corner with fewer, sturdier props instead of a large small-parts count.
  • Tabletop area: games, manipulatives and fine-motor sets sized for 2-6 children at a time.
  • Quiet or Montessori shelf: one tray per activity, control of error built into the material.
  • Outdoor or active zone: larger pieces that move between indoors and a covered outdoor area.

What a purchasing manager checks

  • What is the smallest part in the set, and does the set carry a 3+ grade with a small-parts warning where needed?
  • How many pieces are in one classroom pack, and is the pack sized to the room or per child?
  • Is the finish water-based and included in the tested configuration for that model?
  • Can we reorder the same model next term, and are replacement parts stocked?
  • Which report exists for this model, which market does it cover, and what is still on request?

Questions buyers ask

Do you sell to individual parents?
No. This is a trade supply line for preschools, daycares, schools, distributors and education brands. We quote per model after the destination market and quantity are confirmed.
What is the smallest classroom order?
It is set per model, not per order: 20 pcs on stocked classroom styles, 30-100 pcs on larger sets and furniture, and 100+ pcs on outdoor and ride-on pieces. A mixed order across models is normal.
Can you supply one room, not a full container?
Yes. Smaller room packs ship as LCL or by air for samples and pilot rooms. Once a room design is repeated across sites, we plan a mixed container instead.
Which documents come with a 3+ classroom order?
Per-model test report status, material and finish data, label artwork, carton and CBM data, and the manufacturing data set the US importer needs to issue the CPC. The CPC itself is issued by the importer.
